EU Communication Campaign on the EU Path

Ecorys in Turkey has been awarded to assist the Ministry for EU Affairs to implement “Turkey’s European Union Communication Strategy”. The project concerned will be funded by The Embassy of the United Kingdom and supported by the Ministry for EU Affairs. The main objective of the project is to ensure effective implementation of the EUSG’s communication strategy to promote Turkey’s EU Accession through improvement of the communication/public diplomacy skills of key public officials. The project consists of 2 comprehensive training programmes; (i) Planning, Organization and Implementation of a Communication Campaign and (ii) Improvement of communication skills. A follow-up Study Visit to London, UK will be also organized aiming to familiarize the participants with a better idea of their priorities in terms of news making and will provide the opportunity to make a visit to public institution’s related departments on communication campaign and public diplomacy and to a media center in Britain.

The target group of the project consists of mid and high level bureaucrats of the Ministry of EU Affairs, Prime Ministry’s Office of Public Diplomacy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project will last 5 months between August and January 2012.
